Jesus Heals a Man Blind from Birth

John 9:1-22

As Jesus walked along, he saw a man that was blind from birth.

His disciples asked him, “Teacher, whose sin casused this man to be born blind? His or his parents?”

Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned but that the work of God can be testified through his life. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”

After he said this, he spat his saliva on the ground to make some mud. He anointed the man’s eyes with the mud.

Jesus said to him, “Go, and wash in the Pool of Siloam.”

The man obeyed Jesus’ instructions. He went and washed in the Pool of Siloam and he instantaneously received his sight!

When his neighbors saw him, they recognized him as the blind man who used to sit and beg.

However, some other people said, “No, he is a different man. He just happened to look like him.”

However, he himself insisted, “I am the man you are talking about.”

They asked him, “How were your eyes get healed?”

He replied, “The man called Jesus made some mud and anointed my eyes. He told me to go to the Pool of Siloam to wash. I went to wash myself in the pool and I came home seeing.”
