Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God. Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.

Mark 10:13-16 ESV

When he saw there was some fire burning in the court, he came and sat down with them to get warm from the cold.

A servant girl recognized him and said, “He was with Him.”

Peter denied it, “I don’t know him.”

Someone else saw him and said, “You are one of them.”

Peter replied, “No, I am not.”

After an hour, another man accused Peter, “This man certainly was with them.”

Peter replied, “I don’t know what you are talking about.”

Just about that time, the rooster crowed three times. Peter remembered what Jesus had spoken to him and he went outside to weep bitterly.

At the time of the banquet, the king sent his servants to invite those who had been invited to come. However, everyone found excuses to reject the offer and refused to come.

He sent some more servants to tell those had been invited, ‘I have already butchered my fattened calves and everything is ready. Please come to the dinner I have prepared.’

Some of them ignored the calling of the king’s servants and went back into their business. The rest beat his servants and killed them.

Therefore the king said to his servants, ‘Go into the street corners and invite anyone that you can find.’

The servants did as the king ordered them. They went out into the streets and brought the people both good and bad to the wedding banquet. The wedding hall was filled with people.

When the king came into the wedding hall, he happened to notice a few guests who did not put on the wedding garment.

He asked them, ‘How did you get in here? Where is your wedding garment?’

The king said to the attendants, ‘Tie them up and throw them into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth forever.

For there will be many who are invited but only a few will be chosen.’”

One day, God sent the angel Gabriel to Mary.

Angel Gabriel said to Mary, “Greetings to you.”

When Mary heard his words, she was afraid and wondered what kind of greeting it was.

However, the angel said to her, “Don’t be frightened. The Lord had highly favored you. You will be conceived with a child and give birth to a son named Jesus. He will be mighty in power and called Son of Most High.”

Mary answered, “How can this happen since I am not yet married?”

The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will overpower you so that you become conceived and give birth to a son. He will be called the Son of God. In fact, your relative, Elizabeth is already conceived with a child and is in her sixth month. Nothing is impossible with God.”

Mary answered, “I am the servant of the Most High God. May everything happens as you have said.”

But John tried to stop Him, saying, “I must be baptized by you, and you are coming to me?”

Jesus answered, “Let it be so now so that the Word of God might be fulfilled.”

As soon as Jesus was baptized, he came out of the river and the Spirit of God descended on him like a dove.

A voice from heaven was heard, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

Joseph was from the line of King David so he went up to the town of Bethlehem with his wife, Mary to get registered.

All the inns were full so Joseph and Mary decided to spend the night at the stable nearby. While they were there, Mary gave birth to Jesus. She wrapped him in swaddling cloths and put him in a manger.

Ananias brought the rest of the money and laid them before the apostles’ feet. Peter said, “Ananias, why did you let Satan filled you and kept back part of the money. You have not lied to man but the Holy Spirit.”

Immediately after Peter finished speaking, Ananias dropped down to the floor and died. The young men came and carried him out to bury him.

After three hours, his wife, Sapphira entered. She was ignorant about what had happened. Peter asked her, “Tell me, is this the price you sold your possession for?”

She answered, “Yes.”

Peter said to her, “How can you agree with your husband and lied to the Holy Spirit. Look, the men who buried your husband are already at the door and they will carry you out too.”

At that moment, she collapsed and died. The young men who came in found her dead. They carried and buried her beside her husband.

The fear of God came upon everyone in the church who heard about it.

When Jesus saw her, he reached out his hand to heal her. Immediately the back of the hunch woman was straightened and she could stand straight.

The ruler of the synagogue was furious with him and said to the people, “Come and be healed on the six working days every week but not on the Sabbath.”

Jesus answered Him, “You hypocrite! Didn’t you untie your ox or donkey and lead it out to the river every Sabbath? Then why shouldn’t this woman whom Satan had bound for eighteen years be set free?”

When his opponents heard this, they were embarrassed but the people loved the glorious things that were done by Him.

Later that night, the boat was in the middle of the lake. Jesus saw them straining to row the boat because a strong wind was blowing against them.

Shortly before dawn he went out to them, walking on the lake. He was about to pass by them, but when they saw him walking on the lake, they thought he was a ghost. They cried out, because were terrified.

But Jesus said, “Don’t be frightened. It is me.”

Peter replied, “Lord, if it is really you, tell me to come to you.”

Jesus said, “Come.”

Peter got out of the boat and started to walk toward Jesus. But he began to doubt and started to sink. He cried out, “Lord, please save me!”

Jesus reached out his hand and pulled him out of the water.

He said, “Why did you doubt?”

As they climbed into the boat, the storm calmed down.

The disciples were amazed and they worshiped him in the boat, saying, “You are truly the son of God.”

Publius’ father was very ill with fever and dysentery, but Paul came in to see him. After Paul prayed for him, he was immediately healed.

After this, the people brought all their sick to Paul and they were all healed.

They were very good to them and when they were ready to set sail again, they provided them with all the supplies they needed.
