Elisha and Elijah
2 Kings 2:1-5
One day, Elijah and Elisha happened to set out on a journey from Gilgal. Elijah said to Elisha, “Stay here. I am going to Bethel.”
Elisha replied, “No. I will never leave you.”
Later, the prophets at Bethel came out and asked Elisha, “Did you know where God is going to take your master today?”
Elisha answered, “Yes, I know.”
After that, Elijah said to Elisha, “Please stay here while I go to Jericho.”
Elisha answered, “No. I will follow you wherever you go.”
While at Jericho, the prophets came and asked Elisha, “Did you know God is going to take your master away from you today?”
Elisha answered, “Yes, I know.”
